Authorisation to be an auditing student must be obtained from the Dean of the Faculty concerned, and is subject to the number of available places at UMONS.
An auditing student is not a regular student. Auditing students attend classes but cannot not take them for credit, and they cannot participate in practical or laboratory work.
Auditing students cannot take examinations and no credits will be granted with this status.
An auditing student cannot, therefore, be considered by an examining board and no degree or other qualification can be awarded.
Formalities: The candidate must send a written request to the Dean of the Faculty concerned (explaining motivation and containing a CV).
If accepted, the Faculty Secretariat will send the candidate a letter of authorisation signed by the Dean. This document should be submitted to the Registration Office, who, once the correct fees have been paid in full, will register the candidate as an auditing student.
The candidate must acknowledge reception of a specific note which will be given to him/her. The candidate then receives a document attesting to his/her acceptance as an auditing student.Fees for auditing students have been fixed at €300 per academic year.
