Successful completion of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education (Speech and Language Therapy) gives students the opportunity to study for the Master’s degree in Speech and Language therapy. The Bachelor programme enables them to acquire the required knowledge and skills for these Master courses. It covers psychological, medical, linguistic and methodological foundations relevant for research and professional practice in speech-language therapy, as well as courses identical to those of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education (General), for example, courses related to spoken language, written language, ENT, neuroscience and other related disciplines. Proficiency in French is essential for successful completion of this degree, including excellent writing and speaking skills and spelling.
The Bachelor programme totals at least 180 credits divided into three annual 60-credit blocks. The first 60-credit annual block is identical to that of the Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Education (General), facilitating the possible transition from one specialising field to the other at the end of the first academic year. The rest of the cycle is distinguished by 59 credits common to both specialising fields and 61 credits specific to the Speech and Language Therapy route, which is made up of the following compulsory subject areas:
