The UMONS Centre for Modern Languages

• is responsible for running language courses for non-specialists who are enrolled on curricula at the University's faculties and schools;
• organises workshops and extra-curricular courses in English, Dutch, Spanish and German. This language training is open to all UMONS students who wish to learn a foreign language or refresh their elementary knowledge in any of the abovementioned languages. In some faculties, this training is remedial education and is already integrated into the programmes of study;
• organises French courses for non-French speakers: intensive training before the start of the academic year; evening classes and cultural seminars;
• organises language training for UMONS staff throughout the year through specialised workshops and conversation classes;
• is a certified testing centre for several tests in French, English and Dutch.
